Joy: Find It, Don’t Just Wish!
We chose to focus on JOY this month. We get so busy in our lives that sometimes we miss the wonderful things that we could be enjoying “in the moment.” When I’m driving down the country roads near where I live, on my way to yet another medical system encounter on behalf of my mother, I often have to remind myself to notice the beauty all around me. This is a way that I can experience joy in the moment during a hard time. All of our Experts share the information and tips you need to experience joy in ways you’ve never thought of before!
As I have been sharing my Mother’s saga with others, I find I get three reactions. People nod their heads and tell me about their own experience, which I call the “been there done that.” Or, they are right in the middle of it themselves. But, I often find that those who know that it is coming up, do NOT want to think about it and certainly not plan for it. We need to do two things at this time in our lives…help our parents plan (if they have not done so) and plan for ourselves.
