What’s that old saying about great minds thinking alike?

Because the time leading up to the holidays is filled with stress and tensions, I asked my readers to be part of a Gratitude Project  The challenge was to thank one’s spouse three times a day for 10 days.  So much goodwill and appreciation happened at our house and lots of other homes, too.

Gratitude Rocks!

Dear Patti—
Thank you for reminding us of the importance that gratitude plays in our lives. I think this becomes even truer with age.
If you’re a woman past fifty, you’ve experienced plenty of ups and downs over the years. Focusing on the losses and depressing times makes such experiences overtake your thoughts and will bring you down even further. On the other hand, putting your attention towards joyous times and experiences for which you’re grateful has the opposite effect.
So, here’s wishing all your readers the happiest of holidays and many grateful moments in ‘09!

Expressing gratitude is so easy, picking out a card, buying a bouquet of flowers, or even sending off an email.  Small gestures that mean so much to the recipient, letting them know their efforts matter.  Just found your site, love the positive attitude going on here!

Thank you Joanne. Sometimes we all just need a reminder. We get so caught up in our lives that we forget to acknowledge those closest to us. Thank you for the great ideas!
