I’m meeting with Michele today for a consultation over lunch. Of course I have nothing to wear. I gave up worrying about it and dawned my winter uniform…jeans, turtle neck and clogs. Best for her to truly see what she’s workin’ with. I know I’ll be in good hands. You may be asking why I could not have just gone shopping with a friend. Well, we shall see.
I told Michele about my parameters. Although I know that Michele works with many clients to whom money is not an issue, I wanted to look Fabulous on the “Dress for Less” model. I want every woman out there to know that they can look fabulous without robbing a bank. That being said, I had pulled a picture of a handbag out of a magazine to show her what I liked. She simply said, “Pattie, that bag costs approximately 45.” I gasped, “$4,500?” She answered, “No. $45,000.00!”
I will not EVER being doing that. Why, you could feed a small country.
Michele and I have made a date for her to come to my home and do a wardrobe assessment. In the meantime, she’s asked me to tear more photos from magazines to give her examples of what fashions I like. She sent me a copy of her services, policies, and fees which is something every professional you work with should give you up front.

And then what happened?
I can see your hair is lighter, you’re wearing a “more sophisticated” black. What else? What cool things did she choose for “everyday,” not office wear?
