Are you navigating the medical system on behalf of an aging parent?

My mother’s been in 3 hospitals, 2 Skilled Nursing facilities, and 1 Acute Rehab. The difference between her moldering away in an old fashioned nursing home (you know...the stereotypical one’s that we’ve all grown to fear) and getting quality care in good facilities was/is dependent upon having an advocate (either a family member or hired.)
