My mother’s been in 3 hospitals, 2 Skilled Nursing facilities, and 1 Acute Rehab. The difference between her moldering away in an old fashioned nursing home (you know…the stereotypical one’s that we’ve all grown to fear) and getting quality care in good facilities was/is dependent upon having an advocate (either a family member or hired.) Hi Everyone - Pattie here. Can you help? I am experiencing being part of the “sandwich generation” for the first time. My mother is having some health issues that will most probably rob her of the ability to live independently. Does anyone have any great websites or organizations to recommend to help find the best and most affordable assisted living arrangement for her?
