In Michele’s words…

It took 10 years but finally the long-awaited Prada store grand opening took place on Tuesday July 22. Located 201 Post Street (just across from my studio), the 5,600 square-feet store offers a full range of merchandise for men and women.

Guests were welcomed by screeners dressed in black cocktail dresses and soon as we stepped into the store the cameras started clicking. So many good looking people. I was in heaven being surrounded not only by beautifully dressed women, but the guys….. were all gorgeously dressed too! We all know our mayor is very handsome and now I know what a charmer he is! Willie Brown and Harry Denton were there too. The first crowd arrived early and then hit dinner parties, the second wave was the ‘young’ beautiful people, the music beat became more full of life too. I should not forget to mention the deliciousness of the food catered by Thomas Keller (French Laundry).
