Denise Hughes is a nationally known financial coach. Her mission is to educate and motivate people to develop a healthy relationship with money. In addition to a private practice, Denise is a frequent consultant to the Wall Street Journal’s Love & Money column. She is a popular speaker on topics relating to psychology and money, is working on her first book, and is on the faculty at the Couples Resource Center in Palo Alto, California.

She earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA and a Certificate in Financial Counseling at the Financial Recovery Institute in Marin, CA.

Denise lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband of 22 years and her two canine children, Sadie and Shadow. Her favorite past times are hiking, gardening, cycling and spending time on the Sonoma coast.
