Susan is an unremitting technophile who has been following information technology developments avidly for a quarter century. She was an early advocate of the commercial Internet and World Wide Web, and today is a social media evangelist.

Susan graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology and linguistics and worked in the psychology field before returning to school for a master’s degree in journalism. Since 1985, she has covered information technology for a series of magazines and market research firms, rising to editor in chief of McGraw-Hill’s LAN Times before going freelance in 1996. Susan is also involved in the travel business, real estate investing and information marketing.

She moved to Reno from the Bay Area in 2002, where she is active in Toastmasters, the Master Gardener program, and a foundation that preserves Nevada’s native rock art. Favorite pastimes include skiing, hiking, gardening, and cooking.
